Overview

30 selected healthcare professionals from different regions and specialities convened to Orhei, Moldova between 19th and 24th November for our second Interdisciplinary Meeting of the year. Participants stayed together at the Hotel Codru where the lectures took place, and received intensive training over 5 days in diverse approaches to the subject that combined theoretical lectures provided by international specialists with practical, hands-on training onsite. Once again, the programme encouraged interactivity and engagement of the participants, with much discussion focused around practical cases. There was also a strong interest to facilitate interaction between the participants so that they could contribute and benefit from their own diverse experience and varied work environments. Staff were available 24/7 for discussion, questions and academic interactions both in the lecture hall and during meals and coffee breaks. Participants evaluated their learnings interactively with interactive online questionnaires, comprised of questions set by the lecturers and experts present. Where lecturers could not be physically present, the VFPM arranged for them to hold live lectures digitally via zoom. Participants feedback testified to the quality of lecture content, and in particular for the opportunity to benefit from the hands-on practical training. There was considerable enthusiasm for the practical sessions on Echocardiography from the class. Course content is listed below.
