Kemal Tolga Saracoglu Prof MD PhD DESA FEAMS is currently the Dean of International Medical School and Head of Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care in Health Sciences University Istanbul, Turkey. His main interest and passion remaining pediatric bleeding and airway management, with interest in trauma, intensive care unit, videolaryngoscopes, fiberoptic intubation, and supraglottic airway devices. He published different studies with focus on training, extubation techniques, supraglottic airway devices, and the recent COVID-19 experience.
Tolga is Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor for American College of Surgeons and Advanced Life Support (ALS) instructor for European Resuscitation Council (ERC). He is the Chair of ESAIC Respiration and Airway Management Subcommittee. He is a Board member and vice president of European Airway Management Society. He is one of the founder members and educators of Turkish Society of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation Subcommittee Airway Management. He is an educator in paediatric airway management for Asian Society of Pediatric Anesthesiologists (ASPA). He is the Airway Management Section Editor for Trends in Anaesthesia and Critical Care. He completed his PhD degree with the thesis entitled ‘’The Effects of Different Crystalloid Fluids On Renal Tissue In Hemorrhagic Shock Model’’
