Konstantina Triantafillopoulou MD, is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Private Practice, in Thessaloniki, Northern Greece.
She was born in Hamburg, Germany but lived in a small city in Northern Greece until her Medical Studies in Democritus University of Thrace, in Alexandroupolis. She Graduated in 2004, receiving many scholarships from State and Private Foundations. Fulfilled the specialty in Cardiothoracic Surgery in 2015 in AHEPA University Hospital Thessaloniki, Greece. Her PhD Research studies “The effect of Minimal Extracorporeal Circulation in coagulation, during adult cardiac operations, with conventional and viscoelastic tests”.Sharing a high interest in Perioperative Bleeding Management in Cardiac Surgery, she participated POB/PBM seminars organized by Danube University of Krems, University of Zurich (Maastricht-Netherlands, Vienna and Hainburg-Austria) and Weill Cornel Medicine (Doha Qatar) and gives lectures in International Congresses as well as the Master Science Class of Extracorporeal Circulation, in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.Dr. Triantafillopoulou is a Member of: European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS),Hellenic Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons (HSTCS), International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), European Rescusitation Council (ERC) as an Instructor for Advanced Life Support, Medical Association of Thessaloniki. Since 2015 Dr. Triantafillopoulou works in private medical practice in Saint Luke’s Hospital and Interbalkan Medical Center, Thessaloniki Greece in a variety of cardiac and thoracic cases.
