Selin Erel, MD, is an anesthesiologist at the Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara. She was born in İzmir in the western part of Turkey, where she received her medical faculty diploma from Ege University School of Medicine in 2013. She started her residency at the Department of Anesthesiology of Gazi University School of Medicine in 2014. During her residency she worked in West Middlesex University Hospital in London for a period of 3 months under Erasmus Plus Exchange Programme and recenly became a fellow.
Her personal interest is obstetric and cardiovascular anesthesiology. Whereas having and interest for cardiovascular surgery she was the co-author of 3 book chapters in this field. She is a member of Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation and National Clinical Toxicology Society.
Dr Erel was the winner of Young Teaching Recognition Award of European Society of Anaesthesiology in Genava 2017. She took the 1st place in AYBA Story contest in 52nd National Congress of Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation.
