Federica Marsigli MD, is an anaesthesiologist consultant at the Department of Woman’s, Child’s and Urological Diseases of S. Orsola-Malpighi Polyclinic University Hospital in Bologna, northern Italy.
She was born in Bologna, where she completed medical studies at the University of Bologna in 2014. She applied for and completed residency program at the School of Anestesia, Intensive care and Pain medicine of Bologna University in 2019. Thereafter she worked as full-time neurocritical care consultant at Bufalini Hospital in Cesena (Italy) and at Scientific Institute for Research and Treatment (IRCCS) Institute of Neurological Sciences Bellaria of AUSL Bologna in Bologna for almost three years. In 2022 she achieved 1st level Master Degree in adult basic ad advanced Echocardiography at Padua University. She moved to Bologna University Hospital in 2022 at Department of Woman’s, Child’s and Urological Diseases, which is a tertiary obstetric and gynecology center specialising in complex pregnancies, a tertiary pediatric referral center in the Emilia-Romagna region in Northern Italy, the referral neurosurgery pediatric center in Emilia Romagna and the only Emilia Romagna accredited Pediatric ICU-PICU.
Her personal interest is education in critical care and anesthesia and she is involved in tutoring fellow residents in her department, like the other full-time consultants. Her fields of scientific and clinical interests are critical care, neurointensive focused critical care, point of care monitoring, hemodynamic invasive and non invasive monitoring, perioperative bleeding management (e.g. ROTEM) and clinical trial design.
Dr. Marsigli is member of SIAARTI, the National Italian Scientific Society of Anesthetists, Intensivists and Pain Therapists, and is part of Neuroanesthesia and neurocritical care Study Group and Simulation Study Group.
