Fatima Khatoon, MD, is an anaesthesiologist working as an associate consultant in Hamad medical corporation of Qatar. She completed anesthesia residency and obstetric anesthesia fellowship in the same hospital.

Her personal interest is obsteteric anesthesia, research and training of resuscitation courses. Her field of scientific and clinical interest is labor analgesia, haemostasis and bleeding management. She has obtained a diploma in research from Harvard Medical College and currently enrolled in a master program with Dresden University, Germany. She is one of the key members of teaching faculty for anesthesia residency and obstetric anesthesia fellowsip programs in her institution.

Dr Khatoon was winner of prestigious Gertie Marx research award in 2019 for presenting her randomized clinical trial on noradrenaline infusion in Society for obstetric anesthesia & perinatology (SOAP). Her scholarly activities include several chapters in obstetric anesthesia for renowned publishers, review article on labor analgesia and pain management. Outside anesthesia, she is actively involved in teaching basics of research and instructor of resuscitation courses like Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advance Life Support (ALS) and Training of Emergency Airway Management (TEAM) in her institution.
