Prof. Ayse Meltem Yalinay, MD, PhD
Meltem Yalınay is a Professor of Clinical Microbiology at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine Department of Medical Microbiology. She was born in Ankara in Turkey. Prof. Yalınay graduated form TED Ankara College and Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. She is specialist on Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology. She has PhD degree both on Medical Biology and Genetics and on Clinical Psychology.
She is the director of Molecular Microbiology Laboratory and microbiology consultant of Blood Bank at Gazi University Hospital. Her special interests are gut microbiota, its metagenomic analysis, probiotics and personalized medicine using gut microbiota profiles. She has a trademark “solvebiome” from Turkish Patent Institute related to this issue. She is currently the director of “Turkish Probiotic Guideline”. She is a board member of Probiotics and Prebiotics Society, and a member of Clinical Microbiology Specialist Society and Turkish Microbiology Society.
