Aslı Demir, MD, is an anesthesiologist at the cardiac anesthesia clinic at Ankara City Hospital in Ankara. She was born in Antalya in southern Turkey, she completed medical education at Ankara university Medical faculty, thereafter she started to work as an anesthesia resident in Turkey Yuksek Ihtisas Hospital in 1999. In 2004 she completed her residency and attended as a anesthesia specialist at the same hospital. In 2012, she was an observer at the University of Southampton, department of cardiac anesthesia under the supervision of Prof. Dr. David Smith. In 2013 she became an associate professor and continued to work at same hospital until 2019. In 2015, she had been as an observer at the university of Miami Miller school of medicine, Jackson memorial hospital, department of cardiac anesthesia and solid organ transplantation institute under supervision of Prof.Dr. Ernesto A.Pretto.She has been working at Ankara city hospital, department of cardiac anesthesia from february 2019.
Her personal interest is cardiac and vascular anesthesia, heart and liver transplantation, patient blood management. She is a member of European Society of Anesthesiology (ESA), Turkish society of anesthesiology and reanimation association(TARD), Cardiovascular Anesthesia and Intensive Care Association(GKDA), Association of Anesthesiology and Reanimation Specialist(ARUD).
